आईआईपी से भले ही निराशा दिखी हो, लेकिन महंगाई के मोर्चे पर अच्छी खबर निकलकर आई है। नवंबर में रिटेल महंगाई दर (सीपीआई) में फिर एक बार गिरावट दर्ज की गई है। नवंबर में रिटेल महंगाई दर घटकर 4.38 फीसदी पर आ गई है। वहीं अक्टूबर में रिटेल महंगाई दर 5.5 फीसदी पर रही थी। महीने दर महीने आधार पर नवंबर में कोर रिटेल महंगाई दर 5.85 फीसदी से घटकर 5.5 फीसदी हो गई है। खाद्य महंगाई दर में भी अच्छी गिरावट देखने को मिली है। महीने दर महीने आधार पर नवंबर में खाद्य महंगाई दर 5.59 फीसदी से घटकर 3.1 फीसदी हो गई है। महीने दर महीने आधार पर नवंबर में ग्रामीण इलाकों की महंगाई दर 5.52 फीसदी से घटकर 4.09 फीसदी हो गई है। महीने दर महीने आधार पर नवंबर में शहरी इलाकों की महंगाई दर 5.55 फीसदी से घटकर 4.69 फीसदी हो गई है। महीने दर महीने आधार पर नवंबर में सब्जियों की महंगाई दर -1.45 फीसदी के मुकाबले -10.9 फीसदी रही। महीने दर महीने आधार पर नवंबर में फ्यूल, लाइट की महंगाई दर 3.29 फीसदी के मुकाबले 3.27 फीसदी रही।
